Suvla releases their NEW Kabetepe Rosé Wine:

Foodie Frolics gives its first WYW (Wet Your Whistle) Wine Review

Suvla Kabatepe RoséSuvla has had a lot of success producing Rosé and Blush wines over the past two years. Nabbing the top spots at the Masters of Wine 2013; the Suvla Kabatepe Blush winning first place, followed closely by the Cabernet Sauvignon Blush (which won the previous year) and then the Karasakız Blush, Suvla is proving itself to be a leader in these wine categories. The Rosés (Cabernet Sauvignon Rosé and Suvla Sur Rosé) also enjoyed success in 2012 at the Decanter World Wine Awards and the Balkan International Challenge.

If this is not evidence enough for you then try their newest release, the Suvla Kabatepe Rosé 2013. I discovered this new wine on my latest visit to my favourite Suvla Shop in Nişantaşı. Kaan Önal (the owner of the Suvla Shop www.facebook.com/suvlashop/) offered me a bottle of this new Rosé to try and I thought, what better way than to start my Foodie Frolics Wet Your Whistle Rating than with a Suvla wine! I couldn’t wait to get home to open it, sample it and pair it with a complimentary dish.

When speaking with Selim Zafer Ellialtı the owner of Suvla, last month at the Suvla Wine Cave and Restaurant in Eceabat, he told me about a number of the new additions to his current series’ as well as his goals for Suvla. Therefore I knew there were some exciting releases to come. But more of that in my upcoming interview with Selim Bey,  ‘Sulva Now & Beyond’.
