Friday 19th September, 2014:

Chai Latte M.O.C.Luscious Istanbul Chai Latte plus more:

It looks like, after 5 years that I can continue my love for a Chai latte here in Istanbul, of course besides making it myself at home in the Foodie Frolics kitchen.

Today I had my first real Istanbul Chai Latte. Where you may ask? I’ve been meaning to come here since finding out that an Aussie/Turk had opened a ‘real’ coffee shop in Istanbul. In the beginning I knew it was here but not it’s origins. Unfortunately not being a coffee drinker, I had no real need to check it out before now. But with a sudden dip in the weather today and after seeing ‘my love’ a gorgeous looking Chai Latte on the website, it was a MUST to come and see for myself.

Coffee quality is to be expected in Melbourne but getting a good Turkish Kahve (coffee) here is of course more important than a latte, flat white or Americano.

I met Sam Cevikoz, the brains behind M.O.C. today. Stay tuned for my up coming interview and chatty face to face with Sam.

In the meantime, drop by M.O.C. especially if you are hankering for a high class coffee , Loose Leaf Tea or some special brews. (Australian Cappuccino, Macchiato, Espresso, Hot Chocolate, Café Bondi, Tango in Istanbul to name a few.)

The jury is out on the food and a Resto/Café Rating until I some back and sample a few more things.

The Chai Verdict:

A spicy and flavoursome Chai Latte, hot hot hot in a glass. After drinking my chai I saw the menu and I could have had a Chocolate Chai Latte or a Mocha Chai Latte. I’m glad I have more reasons to come back to try each option. (Unfortunately no soy milk was available.)
