Towards evening with deft precision Sally landed us at Banyon. Seated at an immaculate white bar overlooking the Bosphorus we bid the sun adieu over cocktails, the sky turning every shade of blue and purple by the time we had our last sip. We moved on to another rooftop terrace and enjoyed a pre-dinner glass of wine. The evening tour was rounded off with dinner at Yeni Lokanta, located in a small street off Istiklal Caddesi at the Şişhane end. The meal was phenomenal, the staff personable and professional, but all I can say is… REAL sourdough bread… and the butter… who would have thought butter would merit its own reference in a review?
